The Draco Galaxy Triplet - NGC5985, 5982 & 5981 in the
constellation Draco. Galaxies are pretty cool. Mind bobbling
to think that each one contains as many or more stars than all
we can see in our own galaxy. And here are three in the same
telescopic field of view. Composite of 10 images, 180 seconds
each, ISO800, taken 8-6-05. Calibrated, aligned and
combined in ImagesPlus. Curves, levels, unsharp masking in
Photoshop. Gradient removal in GradientXterminator. Noise
reduction in NEatImage. But I must thank Tony Hitchcock who
took this image and REALLY reduced the noise.
