Here's a set of some of my best. Unless otherwise stated, all were taken with the Konus 200mm
Newtonian and Canon Digital Rebel.
Mars, of course. Taken with my Konus and the Meade LPI. I was
using the 80mm short tube to image M31 and the Pleiades, and
the LPI on the Konus to autoguide. But there was Mars... So I set
it up, did a bit more focusing. And got this image. It's a
composite of just over 100 images, using Meade's LPI software. I
sharpened it in PS. Not bad. October 1, 2005
The Moon - Old Luna - taken July 20, 2005
Jupiter - May 8, 2005 with the Nikon
990 Coolpix using Scopetronix's 18mm
EP afocally coupled. Composite of 10
images aligned with Registax. The
Coolpix family seems designed for
planetary imaging. Sucks for deep
space, though.
Saturn, also taken May 8 2005 with the
Coolpix. Also aligned and processed
with Registax.
The gibbous moon from July 17, 2005
Mars, from October 27, 2005. About
100 frames, taken with my Meade LPI,
Konus 200mm F5 and Tele Vue 3x
Barlow.
